Bank War

You know, I really do not know what is happening to my credit accounts. You may be in the same boat I'm rowing. In the past week, I have had two separate banks cut my credit limits. The reason given is that I have too many accounts with high balances to credit limit ratios. Well of course I do, since every body has cut my credit limits down to a couple of hundred dollars above what I owe them.

This is what ticks me off- I have NEVER been late on a payment, and am not having any problem making my payments on time now- but suddenly I am a bad credit risk. These same banks who had to get bailout money by the billions from the government now decide I can't handle my finances!

There's an old saying- "The sun don't shine on the same dog everyday." In this case I hope its true, and one day I and everyone like me can get even. It would be a wonderful world not needing a bank!

Cardless Christmas Equals No Blue New Year

Everyone is getting ready for that big day- Black Friday when all the sales and bargains are to be had. One word of warning- don't use your credit cards unless you can pay off the balances.

The reason you need to be especially wary this year is the increase in the interest rates on the cards. You may have used them last year at say, a 15% APR. However, most cards have increased their APRs this year, many to as much as 30% or more. Along with that increase will come an increase in your monthly minimum payment. If you only make minimum payments, it will be all but impossible for you to ever pay these bills off at these interest rates.

Why are all the cards raising their interest rates? Credit card issuers state that it is to recoup some of the heavy losses that they have already had on credit card charge offs. It seems to me that if they are losing money on charge offs, the simple answer would be to lower their rates rather than raising them, thereby causing more people to be unable to pay their accounts down. This is what the government bail out money has done, to save the banks so that they could squeeze the lifeblood out of the consumer, which in turn will make the current economic situation even bleaker.

Don't let the banks do this to you. Use your credit cards wisely, or you will have the visits from the "Ghost of Christmas Past" for years to come.

How To Earn Extra Money

Being a teacher, I've always needed to earn extra money, and I've probably tried just about everything imaginable. I've tried retail, selling on ebay, yard sales and flea markets. Just about everything I've tried has worked out to minimum wage or less.

Being about totally fed up, I've turned to the internet for a dose of extra money. Although I am a novice, thus far I have found it pays much better than the other part time jobs I've had. I have found sites that want freelance writers and the money works out to about $15. to $20. per hour. One of the best of these is Demand Studios. They have thousands of articles that you can choose from to write about, and the pay for each article ranges from $7.50 for a very short article to $20.00 for a longer and more detailed article. Even if you spend 75 minutes researching and writing a $20. article, you still make about $15. per hour- and you do it from the comfort of your home at your own pace. If you are interested, you can apply at www.demandstudios.com

Another way I'm earning money is doing data entry. I know you have seen many of these type work at home jobs that have been scams, but My Data Entry Team is one that is for real. Where others just sign you up and leave the how to up to you, this company gives youdozens of ways to make money and goes through the directions step by step. As a matter of fact, this is how I started this blog. For more information, go to https://paydotcom.com/r/10031/lrodcrutch/25923092/globalentry . You won't become an instant millionaire, but for a small fee that will keep working for you, it is worth it!

If I run into any other good ways to make money I'll let you know. In this economy, we need to stick together and do all we can for each other.

Stressed Out With Credit Cards

Just like most folks, I'm experiencing the credit card blues. However, I've found a way to get back at all the credit card issuers who have cut my limits, raised my interest and raised my minimum payments. It's called credit card settlement.

It's easy to do- just go online and type in a search for credit card settlement. You'll get hundreds of listings of businesses that specialize in this sort of business. Pick several that look good for you and your financial situation and visit their website. Find out what they can do for you- usually they will contact your creditors and arrange for lower interest, lower minimum payments and also negotiate to cut the amount owed to them anywhere from 40- 60%.

Pick at least three of these companies and check them out with the Better Business Bureau and find out if there have been any complaints against the company. If everything is satisfactory, put them side by side and pick the best one for you. You have just gotten even with the credit card companies!
